Peacefully in Whanganui on Monday, 31st August 2026 aged 86 years.

Dearly loved husband of Ligaya. Loved Step Dad of Karen and Richard Walker; loving Grandpa Rex of Angela, Thomas, and Adam. A loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

A service to celebrate Rex's life will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street, Whanganui, on Monday, 7th of September 2026, at 1.00pm.

We are also saddened by the passing of uncle Rex and are very sorry we cannot be there today.

Memories of uncle Rex are with a golden companion always by his side, and one special Christmas when he joined us and brought me my very first box of chocolates for which I have never forgotten.

Rest in peace uncle Rex.

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of cousin Rex but a blessing to know he now rests in peace.
Our lives paths went in very different directions after our cousins left the Griffith farm in Stanley Brook and moved to the North Island. It has been wonderful though to keep in touch with other members of the family from time to time, and to share those lovely childhood memories of happy times on the farm.

I am sorry I will not be able to join you on Monday, but send my deepest condolences, love thoughts and prayers to you all
